We are seeking an

Engineering Operations Director

to lead operational teams, ensure financial targets are met, and manage large contracts effectively.

This high-stakes role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence in all areas. Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:

Oversee shop floor managers and cell departments, including welding, machining, fabrication, plating, quality, and maintenance/installation teams. Quality Assurance:

Ensure all in-house engineered products meet required quality standards, timelines, and client expectations. Financial Oversight:

Track and monitor financial performance, ensuring budgets are adhered to and targets are met. Proactively identify areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvements. Project Management:

Oversee the successful delivery of large contracts, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Client Relations:

Collaborate with business development teams to strengthen client relationships and contribute to strategic growth opportunities. Health and Safety:

Champion health and safety practices, ensuring compliance and fostering a culture of safety across all operations. Continuous Improvement:

Drive initiatives to enhance operational performance, improve processes, and increase productivity across teams. Team Leadership:

Provide mentorship and leadership to departmental managers and staff, promoting professional development and collaboration. Strategic Planning:

Support the development and implementation of long-term strategies to enhance market competitiveness and operational success. Qualifications and Experience:

Degree in Engineering or a related field (preferred). Strong background in managing operations within a manufacturing or engineering environment. Proven experience in project management, particularly overseeing large contracts from start to completion. Financial acumen, with experience in tracking budgets, financial reporting, and achieving cost targets. Knowledge of welding, machining, fabrication, plating, and maintenance/installation processes. Excellent leadership skills with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams. Strong client relationship management and business development experience. A commitment to quality, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and practices. Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. What We Offer:
