As the Engineer Service Manager, you will be responsible for leading, managing, and motivating a team of lone working field-based Fire & Security Engineers and the Operations office, ensuring that all customers are serviced on time and to the highest standards. Your duties will include: Developing strong relationships with customers, focusing on customer service, retention, and growth. Managing, motivating, and supporting field engineers directly. Distribution and allocation of work, ensuring completion within agreed timescales. Monitoring and reporting weekly on key deliverables and KPI’s in line with our NSI and BAFE accreditations and business targets. Resolving all customer queries promptly, ensuring delivery of the highest standards of service. Monitoring materials and equipment, ensuring stock levels are correct. Managing fleet to ensure adherence to standards and maintenance schedule. Liaising with suppliers to ensure best price practices and stock availability. Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have: Proven Experience of hands-on direct management of a team of Engineers or similar on a day-to-day basis - ideally gained within the fire protection or security industry. Highly driven and motivated with the ability to multitask daily. Attention to detail as a key element of this role. People management and motivation skills for the lone working engineers. Strong commercial acumen. Clear, effective, and influential communication skills at all levels. IT literacy with knowledge of Microsoft and experience of using CRM systems. A Full UK driving licence. Due to the nature of the business, successful applicants will be subject to Security Screening in accordance with BS7858. Candidates with the relevant experience or job title of: Operations Manager, Head of Operations, Operations Coordinator, Operational Manager, will also be considered for this role. The Benefits
