An opportunity has arisen for an organised, confident and committed individual to join the Projects Team at my Chemical Manufacturing client as a Project Manager, focusing upon EC&I. The role offers the chance to work within a dynamic and experienced team, whilst also further developing your existing skills and knowledge. Key Responsibilities:

Taking responsibility for projects from concept to delivery, including optioneering, feasibility studies, design reviews and commissioning. Reviewing and resolving issues with existing site systems in relation to electrical distribution systems, lighting protection systems and control system installations. Developing an awareness of the existing interconnected infrastructure (e.g. boilers, cooling towers, hydraulics, air compressors, vacuum pumps). Liaising with and ensuring clear communication between internal colleagues and external suppliers. Ensuring projects achieve their objectives, whilst also maintaining the company's priorities in relation to SHEQ. Working with and supporting the Manufacturing Team (operations, technical, engineering, SHE) in delivering the business improvement plans. Develop strong professional networks with key internal and external stakeholders to understand the stakeholder requirements for each project. Key Skills/Experience:

Essential:

Specialist core skills in Electrical, Control Systems and Instrumentation. Proven project management experience within a Process/FMCG industry. Understanding of Hazardous Areas designation and application. Multi-discipline awareness (Civil/Structural, Mechanical, Process, Maintenance, Operations, etc). Experience of working with electrical distribution systems (6.6kV and below). Desirable:

Previous experience of delivering a multi million pound construction project would be advantageous. Formal project management qualification such as Prince2, APM, or Six Sigma etc. Degree/HNC/HND or other accredited qualification is desirable. Benefits:
