We are looking for a confident Engineering Shift Manager to join the growing team at our client's fast-paced and highly automated distribution centre on the outskirts of Mansfield. Working closely with the Engineering Manager, you will need to be a strong communicator and organized to lead the team of Automation engineers and technical operators, executing the schedule of planned maintenance to ensure high standards are upheld to maintain the reliability and stability of the MHE, and prioritizing breakdowns to limit downtime. This position offers variation, supporting the senior team and leading the engineering team from the front, providing technical and hands-on support. Key Responsibilities for an Engineering Shift Manager

Attend handover meetings with the wider senior engineering team. Plan and organize the Engineering Team, delegating the schedule of planned maintenance. Fault find and maintain automated MHE including conveyors, shuttles, totes, and robotics. Respond to breakdowns. Mentor and lead the team. Maintain strong attention to detail. Manage system and equipment incidents. Manage spare parts and monitor inventory and usage. Have a strong understanding of control systems including WMS and SCADA. Ensure the team works within H&S guidelines at all times. Qualifications, Skills, and Experience for an Engineering Shift Manager

Apprenticeship in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering NVQ Level 3. Experience with leadership within Automation. Experience with Automated MHE. Hydraulic and Pneumatic knowledge. Experience with engineering stores and CMMS systems. Good understanding of Microsoft Office. HNC/HND would also be desirable. Salary and Benefits of an Engineering Shift Manager
