We are recruiting for a permanent Engineering Stores Manager; this is a new role which is a result of continued growth and success.

The Engineering Stores Manager will have responsibility for the stores and dispatch functions and lead a team of six which will include stores personnel, transport/drivers, and material handlers. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a competency through experience, ideally within an engineering environment and have knowledge of engineering components. Additionally, the successful candidate will have strong man management skills and be highly organised, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and with the ability to communicate at all levels.

The successful applicant will be a hardworking team player, open to change, and will have a flexible and helpful approach to work. The applicant must be a self-starter and be able and willing to improve their working area with a view to increase efficiency.

Duties will include:

Overseeing the Goods In/out procedures, ensuring stock is stored correctly. Ensuring all goods are inspected and any discrepancies or damaged goods are reported upon receipt. Preparing dispatch documentation and updating the MRP systems, ensuring deliveries are packed correctly. Organisation of all internal and external transportation; arranging sub-contract transport for any items outside current capacity/capability on our in-house vehicles. Liaising with other internal departments including production and sales. Ensuring all H&S procedures are followed and any relevant training is undertaken by all staff in the department. Carrying out all performance reviews, disciplinaries, and return to works.
