Engineering Support Manager (maternity cover) Brinsworth, United Kingdom | req19504 What you will enjoy doing
In this role, you will: Maintain procedures for prioritisation, resource assignment, and scheduling of engineering work. Manage the recovery of costs arising from engineering time and resolve blocked hours to maximise hours recovery. Prepare reports on hours recovery and resource utilisation ratios, and forecasts of resource allocation ratios based on schedules. Manage the process of prioritising engineering work and influence senior business area personnel to form a consensus on priorities. Act as technical lead for software/systems used to manage engineering work and train others in their use. Manage supplier relationships for software/systems and external contractor management as required. Create and modify the master schedule and supporting schedules, and monitor schedules for resource deployment. Influence Engineering team leaders to smooth peaks and troughs in resource loading. You are: An analytical thinker with excellent decision-making skills. Experienced in stakeholder and meeting management. Highly customer-focused with excellent communication skills. Experienced in project portfolio management and project scheduling. Skilled in MS packages: PowerPoint, Project (or similar), and knowledgeable in Microsoft Project Online (MSPOL) and MS Power BI.
