We are looking for an Engineering Team Lead to join our high-performing team and play a key role in delivering world-class financial software for our partners and clients. In this role, you will manage multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring successful project delivery and the performance and development of team members. You’ll be responsible for maintaining delivery commitments while adapting to the evolving needs of the business. Delivery Responsible for the cohesion, culture, and output of your teams. Own delivery within your teams, partnering with Product Owners to identify and plan high-value deliveries; ensuring successful delivery. Drive a culture of continuous improvement. Champion Agile methodologies, not just in process but in spirit. Proactively escalate and manage issues and risks. Communicate timelines and commitments to stakeholders. Ensure engineers can commit as much time as possible to their engineering tasks. Redirect tasks and initiatives to team members for growth, balance, or scaling. People Take ownership of the well-being and career development of each team member. Lead one or more teams of multidisciplinary engineers independently. Mentor and coach in terms of culture, delivery excellence, and behaviors. Identify training needs for future planning. Conduct regular structured 1-2-1s, including setting personal objectives and goals. Proactively manage performance and motivation within your teams. Technical Solid experience as a Software Engineer, at least to Senior Level. Comfortable in a hands-on environment, should the need arise. Background in one or more of the following: Java, Postgres, Spring Boot, AWS. Ability to read, understand, and review code when necessary. Support the Technical Lead in understanding best practices, such as SOLID, XP, Design Patterns, TDD. Understand the necessity for maintaining Technical Debt. Defend or challenge team estimates. Ensure software is developed to the agreed appropriate level of quality. Metrics & Reporting Provide visibility on progress and issues to the Head of Product Engineering. Record and track metrics/key performance indicators (KPIs) over time for specific objectives. Track team efficiency and quality of deliverables, adjusting processes and timelines to ensure high quality is delivered. What’s important to us?
