Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an Engineering Team Leader on behalf of one of our clients.

To improve operational performance by safe, effective management and development of the engineering team on site.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Motivation of engineering team through effective leadership and coaching and development of team. Control of contractors & maintenance suppliers through effective performance reviews. Apprentice mentoring. Support maintenance excellence roadmap implementation plan for site. Adherence to planned maintenance schedules through effective resource planning. Proactive approach to minimising downtime using available resource and KPI's such as OEE, MTBF etc. Adequate plant cover, as required, through effective resource planning. Support the review maintenance activities and identify opportunities to improve cost effectiveness. Support the site and departmental 5s programme. Develop maintenance improvement techniques. Drive and support reliability centred maintenance / FMECA activities.

Skills and Qualifications: Relevant engineering qualifications. A minimum of 4 years practical experience in electrical/mechanical/control engineering. Team leading / supervisory experience would be an advantage. Ability to work within time constraints. Shows initiative and a proactive attitude. Ability to work individually as well as within a team. Can do attitude. Flexible approach to work and hours. Respects others. Has a professional approach to work and colleagues. Show commitment and willingness to work hard to get the job done.
