Engineering Team Leader

to join them in Manchester on a full time basis. Our Role As an Engineering Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and motivating a group of Engineers and Technicians to deliver the Operations business plan in the most efficient way. We are also happy to consider applications from candidates who are prepared to follow a predetermined training and development plan designed to enable you to gain the appropriate qualifications, Knowledge and skills to fulfil this role. In this role you will lead on Safety Performance by setting an exceptional example to colleagues across Electricity North West, challenging others when required as well as: Strongly support the delivery of the business plan and stretching targets. Deliver a first-class service to our customers. Take ownership for and ensure delivery of the Operations South Maintenance and Capital programme. Provide support and technical guidance to Operations and Delivery Managers. Act as a mentor for less experienced staff. Manage programmes of works including necessary reporting. Be responsible for the control and monitoring of consultants, contractors and direct staff (Industrial and Engineering). Be responsible for individual targets and goals as well as contributing to team targets and goals. Leadership responsibilities of the role Lead, coach and develop your people to their fullest potential to achieve both personal and organisational objectives and goals. Motivate, inspire and empower your people by creating an environment that promotes positive communication, encourages collaboration and demonstrates flexibility. Lead your team through change by demonstrating confidence in the organisation, role modelling positive behaviour towards change and effective communication. Who we are looking for The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of 11kV SAP with Field Control Authorisation (Essential). Have experience of leading and mentoring engineering and industrial staff. Demonstrate a high level of engineering experience and knowledge, including LV & HV Fault Management, Construction, Maintenance & Overhead. Have multi-skilled experience as an engineer capable of managing programmes of work on the secondary network without reference. Be focused on providing excellent customer service. Be an excellent written and verbal communicator. Hold a full UK driving licence.
