Reliability Engineering Team Leader Location:

Park Royal Shift:

Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.30pm Roles and Responsibilities Lead Reliability Improvement Initiatives:

Lead and oversee the development and implementation of reliability strategies. Establish and drive a culture of continuous improvement for equipment reliability and system efficiency. Champion Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) programs to reduce reactive maintenance and unplanned downtime.

Team Leadership and Development:

Manage, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and maintenance staff. Assign tasks and projects, ensuring team members understand their roles and responsibilities. Support for skill development in reliability methodologies, Shire CMMS, and Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Maintenance Strategy Planning:

Collaborate with operations teams to develop effective PPM and condition-based maintenance strategies. Use Shire CMMS to plan, schedule, and track maintenance activities. Ensure accurate record-keeping of maintenance activities, asset history, and performance metrics within Shire CMMS and Excel.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

Analyse failure data and equipment history to identify root causes of failures and optimize PPM schedules. Use Shire CMMS and Excel to generate detailed reports on equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance costs. Leverage Excel for data analysis, including the use of functions, pivot tables, and charts to identify trends and performance gaps. Present reliability performance reports to management, utilizing both Shire CMMS and Excel for clear and actionable insights.

Budget and Resource Management:

Develop and manage the reliability program budget, ensuring cost-effective PPM strategies. Optimise resource allocation (human and material) through the Shire CMMS to prioritise and schedule maintenance tasks effectively. Use Excel to manage and track maintenance expenses, perform cost-benefit analysis, and forecast future budget needs.

Risk Management and Compliance:

Conduct risk assessments related to equipment reliability and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations. Utilise PPM strategies and the Shire CMMS to proactively address potential equipment failures and minimize risks. Use Excel for risk management reports and tracking compliance-related activities.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to align reliability and PPM objectives with operational goals. Act as the key liaison between the reliability team and other departments to ensure seamless communication and cooperation, utilising Shire CMMS and Excel for transparency and data sharing.

Technical Expertise Required: Strong knowledge of PPM principles and best practices. Experience in utilising Shire CMMS to schedule, track, and analyse maintenance activities and asset performance. Excel skills, including the ability to generate reports, and utilise statistical functions for analysing maintenance and reliability data. Proficiency with reliability tools and a deep understanding of asset management. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or related field. Experience in reliability engineering or maintenance management. Proven experience with PPM programs, Shire CMMS, and Excel skills.
