KS3 SEN English Teacher Annual Salary: Competitive (includes SEN Allowance) Location: Folkestone Job Type: Full-time We are seeking a dynamic and passionate KS3 English Teacher to join our dedicated team. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on students who have faced challenges in traditional educational settings. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, and a robust skill set to help our students achieve success in English and an additional subject. Day-to-day of the role: Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to KS3 students, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards. Work collaboratively within the English department to enhance the delivery of English and literacy skills across the school. Address the individual learning needs of students, particularly those with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs and Autism. Participate in the development and implementation of SEMH enrichment interventions and nurture classes. Contribute to the broad secondary curriculum offered at Goldwyn Folkestone, preparing students for Level 2 qualifications at KS4. Required Skills & Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK. Experience in teaching English at KS3 or similar levels. Proven ability to work with students with SEMH needs and Autism. Strong commitment to inclusive education and the ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to diverse learning needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
