Location: Cumbria Job Type: Full-time, Long-term Salary: Competitive rates in line with Teacher Pay Scale Reed Education is seeking a dynamic English Teacher to join a secondary school in Cumbria on a long-term basis, starting immediately. This role is ideal for someone with a strong grasp of the English curriculum and a passion for creating an engaging learning environment. Day-to-day of the role:

Deliver engaging and informative English lessons to students at KS3 and KS4 levels; experience with KS5 is advantageous. Utilise strong subject knowledge to enhance student learning and meet curriculum standards. Implement effective classroom management techniques to maintain a conducive learning environment. Assess, monitor, and report on the progress of students. Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests. Required Skills & Qualifications:

Must hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent. Recent and relevant experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 levels; KS5 experience is beneficial. Demonstrated ability to be an excellent classroom practitioner. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to be patient, trustworthy, and a good role model. Must be reliable, committed, and interested in fostering a positive learning environment. Enhanced DBS disclosure, including a Children’s barred list check and satisfactory referencing. Benefits:
