English Teacher
Teaching Personnel are working alongside one of our fantastic partnership schools in Coleford to recruit an English Teacher. The successful candidate would be working in a flourishing English department. The school pushes its pupils to achieve the very best academic standards in all its subject areas. Ideally, the candidate would have a minimum of one year’s teaching experience, but newly qualified teachers will also be considered.
The role will involve teaching
Key stage 3 and 4
in a full-time position. The hours are from
8.30am – 3.30pm. The pay rates for the role are between
£166.32 - £230
per day (Depending on Pay Scale). Start date is with
Immediate effect. Contract duration is
Full-time until the end of the academic year. Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver effective English language lessons, ensuring adherence to the curriculum guidelines. Create engaging and interactive learning materials to support students' language development. Facilitate classroom discussions and activities that promote effective communication and critical thinking skills. Assess students' language proficiency and provide constructive feedback to support their progress. Implement appropriate teaching strategies and techniques to cater to students' diverse learning styles and abilities. Maintain accurate records of students' attendance, grades, and performance. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve the English language curriculum. Participate in departmental meetings and professional development activities. Establish and maintain open communication with students, parents, and school staff. Collaborate with the children to ensure full engagement and success. Requirements:
Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check (DBS). Qualified teacher status. 2 references. Proof of right to work in the UK.
