Teaching Personnel are working closely with a secondary school and sixth form seeking an English Teacher from February 2025. The school: Located in the charming market town of Dorchester, this secondary school offers a vibrant and inclusive learning environment for students aged 11 to 18. The institution prides itself on a strong academic curriculum complemented by vocational land-based industry qualifications. The school was graded “Good” in all areas in their most recent Ofsted visit, and there is a high standard of behaviour in lessons and around the school. The role: The school is looking to appoint a dynamic English Teacher to join on a full-time basis from February 2025. The successful educator will be joining a supportive department that is passionate and determined to deliver high standards to all learners. The appointed educator will teach English across KS3 and KS4. To succeed in this role, you will: Be an excellent classroom practitioner with an enjoyment of working with young people. Have effective classroom management and an ability to demonstrate resilience in working with challenging behaviour. Have effective time management; able to prioritise workload to meet deadlines and targets. Be an excellent team player, genuinely committed to working in partnership with others. Be an excellent communicator to a variety of audiences with good interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence. Be a reflective practitioner committed to developing own teaching and learning strategies.
