Are you a Qualified English Teacher? Rotherwood Education is seeking a qualified English Teacher for a part-time, permanent role in a local college within the Lancashire area. This is an exciting opportunity for any English Teacher, with NQTs welcome to apply. Highlights of this position: This role will commence as soon as possible and is a permanent post. Teaching KS4 & KS5. Differentiating lessons for students, tracking and assessing pupils. The ideal candidate will have: Experience of teaching English up to A Level. PGCE or QTLS English or equivalent. Be motivated, energetic, and passionate about the development of young people. Have strong subject knowledge. Responsibilities as an English Teacher will include: Prepare and deliver English lessons to a range of classes of different ages and abilities. Assess and mark work, giving appropriate feedback. Complete and maintain records of pupils' progress and development. Prepare pupils for qualifications and external examinations. Manage pupil behaviour in the classroom and on school premises, and apply appropriate and effective measures in cases of misbehaviour. Undertake pastoral duties, supporting pupils on an individual basis through academic or personal difficulties. Undertake the role of form tutor. Communicate with parents and carers over pupils' progress and participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and whole-school training events.
