English Teacher Pay Rate: £180+ per day Location: Nottinghamshire Time: 8:30am - 3:30pm Monday to Friday (Term Time Only) Temporary to Permanent Are you an English Teacher looking for long-term work within schools? Do you have experience working with 11-18 year olds with additional learning requirements and challenging behaviour? Look no further - we have the ideal role for you! GSL Education are currently recruiting for an English Teacher to work within a SEN school in Nottinghamshire, providing 1:1 and group support as required. The role includes working with children who have complex behavioural needs and using sports as a therapeutic method to manage challenging behaviours and support the child’s learning away from the classroom. The role includes: Planning lessons against the National Curriculum and differentiating the work for children. General group support and using sports as an enrichment activity. Supporting the Class Teacher with daily tasks and planning. Taking small groups of children out of the classroom to use sports as a learning method. Encouraging learning and concentration in lessons. Leading sports classes indoors and outdoors. 6 hours a week of computer lessons. Using sports as a method of de-escalating situations. Acting as a positive role model, energetic and always willing to support. The ideal candidates will have: Experience in working with young children in a mainstream school. Experience working with challenging behaviour, Autism, ADHD, and Social and Emotional Mental Health. Experience delivering PE lessons as well as written tasks. Relevant qualifications; qualifications in multiple sports will be an advantage. Good understanding of the curriculum, including English and PE curriculum. Ability to work full-time, 5 days a week. Access to own car and valid driver's license (Essential). Requirements: Enhanced DBS Child and Adult Check must be on the update service. (We can assist you with a DBS if you do not have one). 2 references are a must in order to clear your file with GSL.
