Job Summary We are looking for a fully qualified (or equivalent) English teacher to join Suffolk's latest teacher led Alternative Provision. At Liminal Education, we offer a soft school day focusing on core subjects to small groups of vulnerable students. The team is small, and the environment is relaxed, calm, and supportive. Please be aware that this is a self-employed position which involves registering for self-assessment. This is a simple process, and support will be provided. Duties Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and cater to the diverse needs of students. Teach English language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects. Provide constructive feedback to students to support their learning journey. Create a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and collaboration. Organise extracurricular activities related to English literature and language. Communicate effectively with parents and commissioning schools regarding student progress and any concerns. Skills Strong knowledge of English literature, grammar, and composition. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to engage students with diverse learning styles and backgrounds. Proficient in using technology to enhance teaching methods. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Patience and adaptability in managing classroom dynamics. A passion for fostering a love of reading and writing among students.
