English Teacher

to join their dynamic team. This full-time role involves teaching English to secondary-aged students, including GCSE and A-Level, within a supportive and inclusive environment. Support students in preparing for GCSE and A-Level examinations, ensuring they achieve their full potential. Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the SENCo, parents, and external professionals. Utilize innovative teaching methods and resources to engage students with diverse learning styles. Monitor and assess student progress, adapting strategies to ensure individual growth and success. Provide one-on-one and small group interventions to address specific learning goals. Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes confidence and independence. Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and other staff members to deliver holistic support. Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing regular updates on student progress and addressing concerns. Participate in staff training, meetings, and school activities to contribute to the school’s ethos and vision. Qualifications and Skills Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in teaching English at GCSE and A-Level. Experience working with students with additional needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, or other learning disabilities. Proficiency in adapting teaching methods to individual learning requirements. Patience, empathy, and creativity, with strong organizational and communication skills. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students. Enhanced DBS check and the legal right to work in the UK.
