I am currently recruiting for a Qualified Teacher specialist in English for a temporary full-time role starting in January initially up until the Easter break. The school is a small Alternative provision catering for KS3 and KS4 students on a 6-12 week placement to re-integrate them back into a mainstream school. The class sizes are a maximum of 6-8 pupils per class.
Job Description and Specification: Hold qualified teacher status or equivalent depending on experience. Degree in English language, literature, humanities or equivalent. Implement and deliver appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students. Monitor and support overall progress and development of students. Assist in development of appropriate syllabus, resources and marking policies. Communicate effectively with students and parents. Promote general progress, well-being, and educational development for the students. Apply behaviour management procedures so effective learning can take place. Teach the students according to their educational needs. Experience of working within a pupil referral unit or similar setting.
