Job Description and Specification: Hold qualified teacher status or equivalent depending on experience. Degree in English language, literature, humanities or equivalent. Implement and deliver appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students. Monitor and support overall progress and development of students. Assist in development of appropriate syllabus, resources and marking policies. Communicate effectively with students and parents. Promote general progress, well-being, and educational development for the students. Apply behaviour management procedures so effective learning can take place. Teach the students according to their educational needs. Experience of working within a pupil referral unit or similar setting.
