English Teacher Salary:

February or April 2025 A vibrant and leading SEN independent school in Surrey is seeking an English Teacher from February or April 2025. This is a full-time and permanent role. This is an independent, specialist day school providing high-quality education for boys and girls. Based in Surrey, the school meets the needs of a diverse group of pupils who have a range of complex educational needs, communication difficulties, and challenging behaviours. The school fosters an excitement and a love of learning in their pupils by following the national curriculum. Tasks and the curriculum are challenging but achievable, enabling pupils to grow in confidence and prepare for life beyond the classroom. Enrichment activities are provided through educational visits and trips to support learning experiences. There are small classes, always in single figures, and each child receives a bespoke personalised learning programme, fully integrated with the school's social development programme. The school is also committed to well-rounded education, including a focus on social development. Through activities that promote collaboration, friendship, social interaction, and teamwork, pupils build essential interpersonal skills. These experiences help them develop communication, empathy, and the ability to work well with others. The Head is seeking an English Teacher to teach throughout the school - from KS2 up to KS4. Candidates must have QTS and experience of teaching English. Experience of teaching SEN is not essential but desirable. You will be working with children and young people with ASD, speech and language difficulties, and sensory issues. You will be there to help them learn, develop their abilities, and raise their self-esteem. You will need to be resilient and dedicated, and there will be challenges along the way, but you will get all the support needed to succeed, and your achievements will be something to be really proud of! If you are interested in teaching English at this welcoming, caring, and wonderful SEN independent school in Surrey, please apply now. Or call Duncan Eaglesham on (phone number removed) for an informal conversation and more information. The school has a strong ethos of student welfare; therefore, any successful applicant will undergo a full enhanced criminal record check (DBS).
