Teaching Personnel are seeking an English Teacher for a small specialist secondary school who cater for pupils with moderate learning needs, physical, sensory and language challenges and who may be on the Autism Spectrum.

Curriculum:

English to GCSE level

Start Date:

ASAP (subject to vetting)

Requirements:

UK QTS and SEND/SEMH experience

As part of this role, you will provide tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs. The pupils require a personalised curriculum to meet their learning needs, so the ability to create individualised lessons is essential. You will create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment, helping students to overcome barriers to learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.

Key Requirements:

English Teaching experience Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Experience working with children with varied SEN Ability to teach a broad range of abilities, and tailor learning to individual needs and abilities A solid understanding of differentiated learning experiences and behaviour management A commitment to ongoing professional development in special education

Role and Responsibilities:

Planning and teaching a curriculum that meets the needs of individual students up to Key Stage 4 Always maintain safeguarding procedures and protocols Implementing positive behaviour management strategies in line with the school's values and procedures Creating a positive, nurturing environment that motivates, engages, and inspires students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
