About the Role:

Aspire People is currently seeking a passionate and skilled English Teacher for a secondary school in Solihull. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to join a supportive and forward-thinking team, dedicated to nurturing the next generation of writers, readers, and thinkers. As an English Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging lessons, inspiring a love for literature, and helping students develop their language skills across both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality English lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, covering a range of topics including literature, language, and creative writing. Plan, prepare, and assess lessons to meet the individual learning needs of students. Foster a stimulating classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and a passion for English. Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic progress. Participate in school-wide initiatives, extra-curricular activities, and parent-teacher meetings. Collaborate with colleagues in the English department to ensure a cohesive curriculum delivery.

About You:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. A strong passion for English and the ability to inspire students of all abilities. Previous experience in teaching English at secondary school level is preferred, but not essential. Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills. A creative, enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning. Commitment to ensuring all students are given the opportunity to reach their full potential. A DBS on the update service or the willingness to purchase a new one through Aspire People.
