January 2025 Are you a compassionate and dedicated educator ready to inspire students with special educational needs? Join our dynamic team and make a difference every day! We are seeking a motivated and experienced English Teacher to join a school in Southampton. You will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with SEN, helping them develop their literacy skills and confidence. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver creative, inclusive English lessons for students with SEN. Use innovative teaching strategies and resources to meet individual learning needs. Foster a safe and supportive classroom environment where all students feel valued. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including teaching assistants, therapists, and parents. Monitor and assess student progress, adapting lessons as needed to maximize outcomes. Contribute to the development of individualised education plans (IEPs).

What We're Looking For

Essential: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Proven experience teaching English, ideally within an SEN setting. Strong understanding of SEN strategies, including differentiated instruction and behavior management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A patient, empathetic, and positive approach to teaching. Experience working with SEN such as autism, dyslexia, or emotional and behavioral needs.
