Use a therapeutic, individualized approach to teaching, adapting strategies to meet the emotional and academic needs of each student. Provide regular feedback on student progress and well-being, working closely with parents, carers, and other staff to ensure consistent support. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement personalized learning plans, ensuring every student is supported to achieve their full potential. Actively participate in the wider school community, contributing to school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in English or a related field. Experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 and 4, ideally in a SEN or therapeutic setting, or a strong desire to learn and adapt. An understanding of the challenges faced by students with emotional and social difficulties, and a passion for using creative and therapeutic approaches to engage them. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and parents. Patience, empathy, and a flexible approach to teaching, with a focus on the well-being and personal growth of students. Strong organizational skills and the ability to differentiate and adapt lessons to meet the individual needs of students.
