QTS English Teacher Needed – Secondary School in Stockport Cover People are currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Stockport. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher or a motivated newly qualified teacher (NQT) looking to make a difference in students' lives through engaging and inspiring English lessons up to GCSE level. Role Overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering high-quality lessons that promote a love for literature, language, and critical thinking. This full-time position is set to start in January and will be on a long-term basis, with potential for further opportunities within the school. Key Responsibilities: Planning and delivering engaging English lessons that meet curriculum standards and inspire a passion for learning. Assessing, tracking, and reporting on student progress, and adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs. Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and respect. Collaborating with colleagues and engaging in department activities to support curriculum goals. Ideal Candidate: A qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent and experience in teaching English at the secondary level. Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for English language and literature. Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities. Effective communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
