The Role:

As a Secondary English Teacher, you will have the opportunity to teach across Key Stage 3 and 4, with the potential to teach A-Level English depending on experience. You will be responsible for creating engaging, student-centered lessons that ignite a passion for both English Language and Literature. This is your chance to make a real impact on students' educational journeys and contribute to the success of our thriving English department. Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in English to students of varying abilities. Differentiate your teaching to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed. Regularly assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback that helps students grow. Contribute to the development and delivery of the English curriculum in collaboration with the department. Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel supported and motivated. Participate in school events and extracurricular activities, including English-related clubs and school productions. Engage with parents and carers at parents' evenings to discuss student progress. Stay informed about the latest trends in English education to continually improve your teaching practice. The Ideal Candidate:

A qualified Secondary English Teacher with a degree in English or a related field. Excellent subject knowledge in both English Language and Literature. Experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 and 4; A-Level experience is desirable but not essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students. A passion for literature and language, and the ability to inspire students to develop a love of both. A proactive, creative, and adaptable approach to teaching.
