Supporting a Staffordshire school in recruiting a part time English specialist to start as soon as possible! I am supporting a partnering school in recruiting for a Teacher of English on a part time basis, ideally to start as soon as possible. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high quality English language and Literature lessons to students across Key Stage 3 & 4 and fostering a positive learning environment. With a strong command of English grammar, literature, writing skills, and pedagogy, we hope to recruit someone who will be able to engage students in meaningful, interactive lessons that encourage a love of language and reading. Teacher of English Start Date: ASAP Key Stage: 3 & 4 Timetable: Part Time OFSTED: Good LEA: South Staffordshire Contract: Supply Pay: MPS/ UPS Line Manager: Head of Department Strong understanding of both English Literature and English Language, with the ability to explain them clearly to students of varying abilities. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency with educational technology, including online learning platforms. Ability to engage students in meaningful discussions and critical thinking. Strong classroom management and organisational skills. Ability to differentiate instruction and provide support for students with diverse learning needs. Designing and implementing engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum, covering reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, literature and language arts. Developing and administering assignments, quizzes, and exams to assess student progress and provide timely feedback. Create a respectful and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning. Work closely with other faculty members, administrators, and parents to promote a collaborative learning environment. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and assessments. Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field. QTS, QTLS, and/or relevant teaching experience.
