Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons as an English Teacher across Key Stage 3 and 4
Teach English Language and English Literature in line with the national curriculum, using creative and interactive methods
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic development
Manage classroom behaviour effectively, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the overall English curriculum
Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development opportunities
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold a relevant teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE) with experience teaching English at secondary level
Have a strong knowledge of the English curriculum and the ability to deliver it in an engaging and accessible way
Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills and a proactive approach
Be passionate about helping students improve their literacy and communication skills
Be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community
Show a strong commitment to continuous professional development
