The Role: As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. Your key responsibilities will include: Planning, preparing, and delivering English lessons that inspire and challenge students. Assessing, recording, and reporting on student progress, offering constructive feedback to support their development. Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking. Differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs of students and ensure all learners make progress. Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement engaging schemes of work and resources. Contributing to the wider school community through involvement in extra-curricular activities and events. Keeping up to date with developments in the English curriculum and best teaching practices. The Ideal Candidate: We are looking for a passionate and dedicated English Teacher who possesses the following: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. Strong subject knowledge in English and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching literature, language, and literacy. Experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to engage and motivate students. A creative approach to lesson planning and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
