English Teacher, Temporary Supply Role (Long-Term) Are you a passionate and dedicated English Teacher looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic individual to join a vibrant school community temporarily. This role requires a full-time commitment, including planning, teaching, and marking responsibilities. Key Responsibilities of an English Teacher: Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is advantageous but not essential). Plan and prepare high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum and school guidelines. Assess and provide constructive feedback to support student progress. Contribute to the school community, including participation in staff meetings and collaborative planning sessions. Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and development. The Ideal English Teacher Will: Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification. Have recent experience teaching English in a UK secondary school setting. Demonstrate strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire students. Be adaptable, reliable, and committed to delivering excellence in education. Have a current DBS check on the update service or be willing to undergo a new DBS application. Why Step Teachers?
