The School: This Secondary School in Richmond Upon Thames, West London has been graded as Good in all areas and continues to provide an excellent teaching and learning environment. With continued improvements in the quality of teaching and support for students, the school continues to see students achieving fantastic grades at GCSE and A Level and most continuing on to University. The Senior Leadership Team has worked hard to instil a strong school ethos that has enabled them to improve year on year. The Role: As an English Teaching Assistant, you will be providing 1:1 and small group support for those who may be struggling to access the curriculum and are falling behind in lessons. These students will require extra academic support, and you will be expected to provide them with the guidance needed to improve towards the end of the school year. This is a full-time, long-term placement with the potential for a permanent position in September for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities for English Teaching Assistants: Provide English academic support for students who are low performing

Hold 1:1 and small group interventions

Take advantage of pupils character, support excellent behaviour and promote student independence

Be a model of physical, mental and social well-being

Constantly seek to improve and develop your practice and effectiveness
