About the Role As an Enrolled Nurse within our Residential Aged Care Program, you will contribute to the dignity and quality of life for our residents within a safe, homely and comfortable environment. You will have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills and progress your career goals while caring for a diverse range of residents in varied and rewarding settings. You will be responsible for providing the full range of nursing services, including, but not limited to: Using assessment outcomes, collaborate with a Registered Nurse (RN) to develop appropriate interventions in an individualised plan of care for each resident, to support re-ablement and optimise independence
Support and encourage residents’ and families’ understanding of care delivery and care planning through effective and timely communication, including team members, and the community
Demonstrate timely, accurate communication within the multidisciplinary team, regarding the health and functional status of individuals, including reporting effectiveness of nursing interventions to the RN
Your Contribution You will be a passionate, motivated Enrolled Nurse who brings previous experience working in aged persons nursing to the role. Your commitment to working in a ‘patient centred care’ framework will see you help residents to achieve their health goals and improve their outcomes. You understand and are interested in the complex and varied needs of our resident population and are driven to provide the best care possible. You will also have: Current Nursing Registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Current NDIS Worker Screening check, or be willing to obtain

About the Cambridge unit at Berengarra, Kew. SVHM Residential Aged Care comprises 3 individual providers, of which Berengarra is the most recently constructed. Berengarra is co-located with St George’s Hospital in Kew and is a purpose built 90 bed residential aged care home. Cambridge unit is one of three, 30-bed general aged care units at Berengarra. Person-centred provision of multidisciplinary high-level care to elders with diverse and complex health care issues is the model of care at Berengarra.
