We’re recruiting for two key roles, with flexibility to tailor responsibilities and full-time equivalence to suit the right candidates: ✦ Ensembles & Tuition Leader – Lead our ensembles, inspire creativity, and deliver high-quality tuition to our talented young musicians. ✦ Community & Partnerships Leader – Strengthen our community through partnerships, drive fundraising efforts, and help us expand our reach. Both roles offer flexibility to adjust responsibilities and working hours, ensuring the right fit for the successful candidates. Following internal promotions and a colleague relocating out of the country, Merton Music Foundation (MMF) is in a unique position to advertise two new Middle Leadership Team roles: Ensembles & Tuition Leader, and Community & Partnerships Leader. Both roles will be appointed simultaneously with some flexibility to alter the full-time equivalence and/or responsibilities of either position to best suit the skillset and preferences of our two successful candidates. Our vision is a borough where music resonates along the corridors of every school and echoes throughout the community. The Ensembles & Tuition Leader is responsible for the development of the charity’s programme of Music Centre ensembles and supporting the operational management of its instrumental teaching programme, ensuring high levels of engagement via multiple points of entry and robust, clearly signposted routes for progression. You will be a highly proficient musician with experience of facilitating inclusive ensemble and/or instrumental learning in youth settings with the ability to inspire and engage young people in a progressive programme of activity. All areas of musical specialism will be considered, but we are particularly interested in hearing from woodwind, brass or piano players and/or people with experience of facilitating SEND music-making.
