An exciting opportunity has arisen within the ENT department for a full-time Clinic Coordinator to join our team. You will be part of a well-established team in a very busy department, your role is to manage and monitor clinics and support the managerial team and secretaries with clinic related queries. Main duties of the job

The main responsibilities of this role include: Referral management - use of PCS & the NHS e-Referral system Scheduling of outpatient appointments Management of waiting lists Monitoring the Telephone Reminder Service (TRS) Managing Referral to Treatment (RTT) patient pathways in line with Trust targets Monitor New and Follow up appointments Amending clinic templates Reviewing clinic slot utilisation Amending clinical activity in line with Rota Handling internal/external appointment enquiries Qualifications and Skills

The successful applicant will have: Excellent accuracy, organisational and communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Be a team player Able to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlines A high level of concentration is required and attention to detail. The Trust manages Leighton Hospital in Crewe, Victoria Infirmary in Northwich, and Elmhurst Intermediate Care Centre in Winsford. We employ almost 5,000 members of staff, provide around 540 hospital beds, with a range of services including accident and emergency, maternity, outpatients, therapies, and children's health. Job responsibilities

You will work closely with the Support Manager to coordinate the various functions of Outpatients including reception cover, clinic capacity and provision of health records for use in clinic. The successful applicant will be expected to organize and prioritize the workload of a small team to ensure an effective and efficient service is provided, escalating issues to Management team where appropriate. Good communication skills are essential as the post holder will be expected to deal with enquiries from patients and healthcare professionals both internal and external to the department. Previous experience within a similar role within the Trust and knowledge of Outpatient processes would be particularly advantageous, although full in-depth training will be provided as part of our local induction programme. EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

Awareness of the need for confidentiality in accordance with Data Protection Act and national/local guidelines Knowledge of Medical Terminology Advanced ECDL modules or equivalent SKILLS

Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work on own initiative, prioritise own work Understand and manage health records/waiting lists and ICS computer systems PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to perform a wide range of duties according to the Job Description Disclosure and Barring Service Check
