About The Role

We are looking to recruit an Enterprise Applications Specialist to be responsible for managing the development, sourcing, and maintenance of the enterprise software within our company. Your role will report to the Head of Systems, and you will develop a deep knowledge of our business and our processes to support the internal stakeholders. You will ensure that our enterprise software meets our business requirements and helps to streamline our internal processes. Your duties will include:

Transforming CDP’s strategy and requirements into an Operational Plan

Collaborate with internal stakeholders (including IT, IS, DevOps, and Operations) to document user requirements

Deeply understand all CDP business processes related to software applications

Set and Implement CDP Software Policy (with steering group)

Project Manage enterprise software projects to deliver solutions on time and budget

Effectively interface with technical and nontechnical staff at all organizational levels

Develop and maintain internal software

Conduct risk assessments to protect organizational data with IT Security in mind

Manage relationships with external vendors

Oversee the planning and execution of changes and major upgrades to applications

Respond to service tickets promptly and deliver solutions to minimize system downtime

Learn and get to grips with novel software languages and APIs to support a wide range of software tools and develop custom extensions and interfaces for them including Python scripts, VB macros, SAP ByDesign customization, and web development

Improve cost efficiency of Software at CDP

Maintain and improve the software whitelist and related documentation

Document application processes and user guides

Create and deliver training to end-users

Approve/review new software package requests

Inform EOs of changes to software systems and enforce policy

About You

You must be able to demonstrate previous experience of running client projects within a consultancy environment. Also, experience of business operations and an understanding of software security processes including how to best protect our internal data and experience of exposing web services to the public while keeping them secure. If you have any experience in the below technical points, this would be a plus:

Experience developing custom integrations for SAP Business ByDesign using the SAP Cloud Application Studio SDK would be a benefit

Familiarity working with public APIs in REST/OData and SOAP

Skilled in software fault-finding when using tools that don’t have a large online user base for support

Full stack web development experience from running small internal web servers and databases up to developing C# and Typescript code to design new web interfaces

Experience with Continuous Integration testing and software release processes
