This role will support Covea’s transformation journey and be responsible for supporting the definition of the strategy and roadmap to migrate Covea from its existing infrastructure and applications to a future state that supports the business needs and strategic direction. They will operate as the Architecture Authority for Covea and work closely with other Architects to ensure the alignment of Covea business and technology stakeholders. The role is a hybrid role, therefore will involve a mix of working from home and also from our

Halifax

office.

What will I be doing? Defining and developing our infrastructure modernisation roadmap, complementing our overarching business strategy and plans. Working with the technology leadership team to manage innovation and ensure compliance with associated roadmaps. Developing and implementing principles, standards, policies, and governance in a matrix environment. Driving reuse and the decommissioning plans for our legacy technology, and driving out future state migration for InsureTech and Affinity capabilities. Playing a key role in multi-disciplinary groups; providing advisory services and assurance to senior stakeholders in supporting Business Case development and shaping business strategy. Developing architectures at the cross-product and programme level, to support business goals and objectives, including defining enterprise architectures that meet business requirements. Ensuring the Technology Landscape is fit for purpose and delivers value for money, whilst supporting the definition of Platform Roadmaps and Planning for future horizons. Leading architects to drive strategic delivery of IT roadmaps & promote clear business values aligned to customer journey, commercial, and requirements-based outcomes. Developing and maintaining industry-leading knowledge on information technology and participating in industry forums on relevant subjects. You should apply if you have… Experience in Enterprise Architecture and Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure), as well as analysing and redesigning business architectures. Skills in developing solutions for complex problems and specific knowledge in On-Premise to Cloud Migration, Cloud, Enterprise Integration, Data Warehousing, Microservices, and Big Data solutions. TOGAF or BCS architect certification, and other relevant qualifications. Strong understanding of business challenges, risks, and opportunities with pragmatic judgment in balancing risk and business value for actionable decisions. Experience in fast-paced, multi-channel, customer-focused organisations, with a customer-focus & passion for improving customer experience. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage, build and maintain constructive relationships across all business areas. Ability to conduct situational analysis and make informed decisions, whilst supporting and encouraging a learning environment to achieve best results in line with company values. Proven track record in delivering cost-effective, reliable, and supportable technology solutions, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences. Proactive & takes initiative to achieve profitable outcomes and exceed expectations.
