This role takes an office first hybrid approach here at London Gatwick, with three days a week in the office, two days remote, managed around the needs of the business. What is the role?

Responsible for the development of the technology and systems architecture needed to support London Gatwick's business strategies and goals. Ensures that as solutions are delivered, they adhere to the defined architecture standards and best practices. What will you do?

Provides input and thought leadership into the IT technology roadmap and standards based on industry best practices. Engages internal and external stakeholders to ensure business strategy feeds into architecture and technical standards. Creates designs that align to business goals, simplify the technology landscape and optimise cost of operation. Accountable for the provision of extensive subject matter expertise of major enterprise solutions and is the architecture representative for specific airport operational systems. Manages, governs and supports outsourced 3rd party Solution Architects and the quality of artefacts produced. Supports product selection processes through the 'Request for Tender' process. Supports the IT Operations function in triage, troubleshooting and system optimisation throughout delivery. Do you have what we're looking for?

Experience in a significant Enterprise Solutions Architecture role. Experience of System Implementation related projects and design. Architecture related certifications (e.g. TOGAF). Proven track record in identifying and developing architecture related policies, principles, standards, strategies and roadmaps. Experience of working with 3rd party suppliers and service providers. Experience of producing high- and low-level design documentation. Experience of the aviation industry or similar mission critical highly available operations. Working within an IT team in a medium or large organisation operating within a complex technology landscape. What's in it for you?
