- Enterprise Technology Manager - Permanent - Cheshire - Up to £75k – Hybrid - Our long-standing client is looking for an Enterprise Technology Manager to drive their technology strategy, bridging the gap between the technology team and the PM office, combining technical expertise with strong leadership and people management skills. What you’ll be responsible for… UK Enterprise Applications and software development activity and the support of these systems Service owner for UK third party platforms and manage relationships with third-party suppliers Contributing to and influencing the development of standards and changes to systems/applications Enterprise-wide compliance to agreed standards, processes and policies Documenting functional specifications, plan and schedule projects, and leading a team of professionals through implementation Balancing project activity with those that add immediate value and longer terms initiatives Comparing best-in-class technology offerings from the market, leveraging Group technology innovations and technology partners, whilst leading the selection of new technology vendors and solutions Managing, leading, and coordinating new tech POCs and pilots Designing multi-system integrations, automations, extraction, and correlation of data from both digital and retail, as well as back-office systems and technology partners Driving continuous technological improvement & innovation across the business challenging the status quo & ensuring they evolve to become industry-leading in their technological approach and solutions What you'll be doing... Proposing the Tech Systems strategy for the UK business Supporting the Enterprise Technology team deliver quality solutions to meet business needs in agreed budgets and timescales Leading and being accountable for the Enterprise Architecture, automation, integration and data architectural activities Proactively advising the CIO, Presales and Leadership Team, on relevant and potential technology solutions Mentoring and guiding Application Support Analysts and Developers: Addressing technical challenges, review code, and helping team members develop their skills, driving continuous improvement and high performance Defining project scope, creating work breakdown structures (WBS), and establishing timelines Managing third-party supplier relationships: Evaluate suppliers, assisting the Legal team with the negotiation of supplier contracts and ensuring they meet project requirements What you'll need... Minimum 5 years’ experience in management of Enterprise IT Application support teams Experience of building, leading and managing an IT support and/or Development teams Microsoft Azure, DevOps, Data Factory and Data Brick experience Data & analytics expertise, including experience of PowerBI Ability to work at a strategic level with proven experience of turning vision into reality Several years of experience as a Software Engineer or Application Support or a related technical role Experience in ITIL framework and best practices We're looking for someone who is a real 'people person' - passionate about coaching, mentoring and lifting others, who is well-versed in engaging with internal and external stakeholders, yet also has the technical software and application-focused expertise to pull their sleeves up when needed.
