Permanent Our Oxfordshire based client is a pioneering developer of protein-based antibiotics to target antibiotic-resistant bacterial pathogens. They are currently recruiting for a Senior Scientist to lead on a variety of projects encompassing novel protein engineering, production, and characterization. Responsibilities: Designing and producing a range of antimicrobial bacteriocin. Performing characterization of produced bacteriocin using a variety of microbiological and molecular techniques. Understanding in vitro and in vivo infection models to support ongoing R&D project activities. Qualifications: Applications are invited from candidates with a PhD in Microbiology / Molecular Biology together with in-depth experience of protein engineering, production, and characterization with antibiotics. Knowledge and experience in antimicrobial resistance would also be highly beneficial. This is a permanent opportunity offering an attractive salary (depending on skills and experience).
