Our commitment to biodiversity is the beating heart of our business. The EB team are a diverse group of talented individuals, who bring different experiences, ideas and much more. Together, we've experienced remarkable growth recently, and the best part… We're just getting started. We have created a new plan for the planet. With our multi award-winning Habitat Banks, we are trailblazing a new path to restore and protect biodiversity by revolutionising how the commercial and natural worlds interact. We are making significant progress at pace with a network of Habitat Banks opening across England already and many more to follow in the coming months, so we are seeking to expand our capabilities and are currently looking for Land Managers to join the business based throughout England. About the role: The Land Manager will play a crucial role in the creation and management of Habitat Banks on a regional basis. You will also be responsible for identifying suitable land opportunities, collaborating with landowners and agents, and overseeing the process of onboarding land for Habitat Bank creation, working with our delivery team to create and manage the Habitat Banks on farms across England. The role requires effective communication, collaboration with internal teams, and engagement with external stakeholders such as farmers, landowners, and Local Authorities. Key Responsibilities: Identify and onboard new land opportunities to establish Habitat Banks, liaising with landowners and agents. Prioritise the creation of Habitat Banks based on Local Authority BNG (Biodiversity Net Gain) credit demand and known purchaser demand, with input from the sales team. Conduct thorough due diligence to assess site suitability for Habitat Bank creation, coordinating with internal teams including ecology, project delivery, legal, and finance. Take sites through an internal offer approval process, justifying and championing why it should proceed. Gather and analyse data to support targeted Habitat Bank creation, including reviewing local plan policies, agri-environment scheme information, and market sector reports. Work as part of a collaborative project team to create the Habitat and deliver capital works and then support the ongoing management of the site, liaising with landowners regularly. What we need from you: Experience of working directly with farmers and landowners, in a professional capacity. Experience in rural land management an advantage, but not essential. Preferably possess a working knowledge of Farm Business Tenancies and relevant environmental matters related to rural land management. Some understanding of utilising Land Registry and other publicly available legal and land management data sources. Project management experience would be beneficial, especially in the environmental sector. MRICS or CAAV would be useful, but not essential. Full UK clean driving license and willingness to travel for regional site visits and events. Benefits: Full time, 35 hours per week Remote working with regional/departmental co-working days as organised Annual company performance-related bonus 30 days holiday, plus bank holidays, birthday, and wellness day Option to purchase 5 additional days of holiday Salary sacrifice pension scheme with 6% employer contribution Salary sacrifice electric car leasing scheme
