We’re now looking for a Safety, Health and Environmental Coordinator to join the team and support the production function at our manufacturing site. ABOUT YOU The ideal candidate will be a proactive health and safety professional who is eager to learn and develop new skills. You are able to work effectively on site and within an office environment. You have experience in health and safety, safe systems of work, and safety data sheets. Environmental experience on a high-risk site or COMAH site would be highly advantageous. You are able to work systematically and logically when presented with challenges and are able to pick up technical-based concepts to work through them. You must have the ability to investigate and interrogate legislation and information around all aspects of safety, health, and environmental. Working as a team player and gaining understanding of the site and its employees is paramount for this position, coupled with good interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a variety of departments. The ideal candidate will have analytical skills, attention to detail, and an internal customer focus. A minimum of A-level (or equivalent) education in a science, technical, or materials discipline and a NEBOSH qualification would be highly advantageous. Be unique, we like it that way! Key responsibilities include: To ensure personal and team safety and promote a 'Safety First' culture. Play a key role in supporting and coordinating the development of safety, health, and environmental operations on site. Support in the production areas with risk assessment development and risk prevention. Coordinate meetings, from organisation to minute-taking and action tracking. Coordinate safety, health, and environmental reporting. Collate and distribute key communication packages. Coordinate key occupational health and hygiene programs. Keep up to speed on relevant legislative changes. Support the review, update, and maintenance of SDS and integrated systems. Support product safety responsibility workstreams. Support in management of onsite chemical inventory and control of substances in risk assessments. Support health and wellbeing projects for the site. Support the site teams with low-level incident investigations. Support the production unit teams with wider projects where required.
