Our WSC Operations team has an excellent opportunity to join as our new Environmental Specialist. In this role, you will ensure successful implementation of environmental projects, process improvements, communication, standards, and strategies within OSUK, focusing on adding value and achieving internal targets with an emphasis on environmental obligations. Drive the Carbon Strategy to reduce internal emissions, aligned with Severn Trent Group commitments. Manage the Environmental Management System (EMS) to ISO 14001:2015 standard, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. Key Accountabilities

Lead the management of ISO 14001:2015 for Severn Trent Services, including hosting external audit visits and managing/updating the aspects and impacts registers to include all environmental risks. Support the Carbon Strategy project for STS contracts, engaging with teams and communicating efficiencies while providing expert advice on environmental topics, engineering projects, and operational activities impacting the environment, customers, or contracts. Monitor environmental performance parameters, collate information, and create reports for senior leaders, developing projects as needed. Manage and maintain reporting of abstraction licenses between Operations, Environment Agency, and Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO). Support the implementation of engineering projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and environmental care. This will also include supporting the Water and Waste Process Technical Leads in clear communications to operations on product and environment improvements. Qualifications

We're seeking an Environment & Implementation Manager to understand the ISO 14001:2015 standard and management of an environmental management system. You'll also have knowledge of required documentation for the management system, environmental laws and legislation, and ensuring compliance at all levels. Experience in project management and implementing new standards, processes, or projects, with skills in project delivery (SBF tools). Proficiency in IT and ability to produce technical documents.
