Your role and responsibilities Overseeing resident engagement activities for our multi-million pound Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure delivery programme, as well as further development of projects to support Suffolk's taxi sector to transition to Electric Vehicles. Supporting junior team members in handling incoming correspondence and queries from residents, planning letter drops and social media activities, and delivering resident engagement events. Developing project business cases to support Suffolk's taxi sector transition to Electric Vehicles, collaborating with the Environment Strategy Team and external stakeholders. Preparing easy to understand, engaging reports on progress for the Senior Project Manager and wider EV Project Team. Coordinating the work of other members of the Environment Strategy Team, focusing on effective project management. Securing funding and delivering projects to improve air quality and reduce carbon emissions for our county. You will need Extensive project management experience; formal qualifications are not required, but equivalent knowledge and skills are necessary. Passion for sustainability, particularly the decarbonisation of transport, evident in your communication style. Strengths in communication and community engagement, helping residents understand complex environmental issues. Persuasive communication style and experience advocating for a cause. Understanding of local government operations and the role of elected Members is an advantage. Diverse backgrounds and fresh perspectives are welcomed, particularly to engage underrepresented groups.
