As The Environmental Sustainability Manager, You Will:
Develop, implement, and monitor the authority’s green strategy. Lead cross-departmental efforts to reduce the council’s carbon footprint and achieve net-zero targets. Collaborate with stakeholders, including local businesses, community groups, and government agencies, to drive sustainability initiatives. Identify funding opportunities, prepare bids, and manage budgets for sustainability projects. Promote awareness of environmental issues and encourage community participation in green initiatives. Provide expert advice on sustainability policies, ensuring compliance with national and local regulations. Link with the team in relation to Recycling Initiatives and work together on our targeted approaches within our communities.
