Environmental Advisor

Job Purpose To support the Environment and Sustainability Manager and the wider construction site teams with the effective implementation of the environmental management system, including assisting with environmental planning, reviewing records and giving guidance on physical site environmental controls. Key Accountabilities Assess and report on site environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives via our digitised reporting system Drive completeness and accuracy of records within our waste reporting system, both internally and in our supply chain Review the suitability and effectiveness of physical environmental control measures Support the ongoing review of site-level environmental plans, including aspects and impacts registers Provide assistance with environmental incident investigations Knowledge and Experience Experience of environmental controls and management systems within the wider construction industry Knowledge of UK environmental legislation We would be open to candidates with less experience, including graduates, who have a strong interest in working within the field of environmental management in the construction industry. Personal Qualities Articulate and confident communicator Strong work ethic Excellent time management skills A willingness to learn and embrace change IT literate with a positive attitude toward applying technology in the workplace Qualifications and Training Full UK driving licence (car allowance or car is available) CSCS card (desirable) Relevant degree or environmental qualification
