Environmental Advisor

to join our team on an initial contract basis, with potential for a permanent role. Role Overview

As an

Environmental Advisor , you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and driving sustainable practices across all Caddick Group projects. Based in Warrington, the role requires regular travel to project sites in the

North West, Yorkshire, and Midlands

to conduct audits, provide guidance, and support project teams in meeting environmental standards. Key Responsibilities

Compliance and Legislation : Ensure all projects comply with current environmental legislation and company policies. Monitor and update teams on changes to environmental regulations affecting project delivery.

Auditing and Reporting : Conduct regular environmental audits and inspections across Residential, Commercial, Industrial, and Logistics sites. Prepare detailed audit reports, identifying non-compliance and areas for improvement.

Sustainability Initiatives : Promote and implement sustainability practices in line with the company’s environmental objectives. Identify opportunities to reduce environmental impact, including waste reduction, energy efficiency, and sustainable sourcing.

Training and Awareness : Deliver environmental awareness training to site teams and subcontractors. Act as a point of contact for environmental queries, providing practical advice and solutions.

Incident Management : Support the investigation of environmental incidents and recommend corrective actions. Ensure incidents are reported in line with company and legal requirements.

Collaboration :

Work closely with site management, clients, and supply chain partners to embed environmental best practices. Liaise with regulatory authorities and stakeholders on environmental matters as required. Skills and Experience Required

Previous experience as an Environmental Advisor in the construction sector is essential. Strong knowledge of environmental legislation and its application to construction projects. Experience conducting audits and providing recommendations for compliance. Proven ability to deliver training and engage with a wide range of stakeholders. Excellent report-writing and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. A full UK driving license is essential due to travel requirements. Desirable Qualifications

Degree or equivalent in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field. Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., IEMA). CSCS card or equivalent.
