My client is seeking a dynamic Environmental and Sustainability Manager to lead and execute the company's environmental and sustainability strategies. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our client by promoting sustainable practices and ensuring compliance with environmental standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science or sustainability, along with experience in the manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy Development:

Develop and implement comprehensive environmental and sustainability strategies aligned with the company's goals, identifying opportunities to enhance environmental performance and reduce the carbon footprint. Programme Management:

Lead and manage environmental and sustainability initiatives, ensuring they meet targets and are aligned with key performance indicators (KPIs). Track and report progress on these metrics regularly. Compliance and Reporting:

Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations and standards. Prepare and present reports to senior management and external stakeholders. Stakeholder Engagement:

Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, production, supply chain) to integrate sustainable practices into operations. Engage with external partners, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies, to enhance the company's environmental efforts. Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

Stay current with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in environmental and sustainability sectors. Recommend innovative solutions to improve environmental performance and efficiency. Training and Education:

Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on sustainability practices and foster a culture of environmental stewardship throughout the organization. Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental and sustainability management, ideally in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of environmental regulations relevant to the manufacturing sector. Proven experience in developing and implementing sustainability programs. Certification in sustainability (e.g., IEMA, BREEAM) is a plus. Familiarity with quality systems such as AS9100 (aerospace) and IATF16949 (automotive) is highly beneficial. Benefits:
