Mission The Environmental Associate will be responsible for improving the UK’s environmental performance across all project stages by ensuring compliance with company policies, management systems, and environmental regulations. This role involves supporting project teams with environmental activities, overseeing compliance during construction, collaborating with operational teams to manage environmental requirements, and coordinating with external stakeholders. The Environmental Associate will drive continual improvement initiatives, implement environmental plans effectively, and manage documentation to support the company’s commitment to promoting the environment and ensuring legal compliance. Main Accountabilities DEVELOPMENT STAGE

- Support environmental viability assessments of potential sites and provide support to the project team to ensure compliance with the environmental regulations as a project progresses through its environmental assessments. CONSTRUCTION STAGE

- Oversee environmental compliance throughout the entire construction phase of all projects, from start to finish, to ensure adherence to environmental specifications identified in the environmental management plans and those defined by the regulations. OPERATIONAL STAGE

- Collaborate with the O&M team and contractors to ensure effective management of the installation’s environmental requirements and in compliance with the procedures set out in the Environmental Plans and Environmental Management System. IMPLEMENTATION OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL PLAN

- Implement the environmental plans with the use of the appropriate knowledge to ensure compliance and proper execution by the EDPR Company’s employees as well as by the external suppliers/consultants. CONSULTANTS

- When an Environmental Associate is responsible for appointing consultants or suppliers directly, they must coordinate the scope of work to ensure the delivery objectives are met in terms of both deadlines and quality. COORDINATION OF THE COMPANY'S ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

- Collaborate with EDPR’s environmental corporate team to implement and execute actions that ensure compliance with the environmental policy and environmental strategy. DOCUMENTATION

- Support managing and control of documents associated with environmental activities. COMPANY’S POLICY AND LEGAL FULFILMENT

- Ensure that environmental plans are applied effectively during the project and in line with EDPR's company policies and legal requirements. ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

- Implement the requirements of ISO 14001 Standard in all the operational facilities according to the procedures approved and coordinating the activities related to the EMS. Required Profile ACADEMIC LEVEL

- Environmental-related degree or qualification. Certifications may be advantageous. REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

- 3 years in environmental management-related jobs with experience in renewables. SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE

- Knowledge of Environmental Regulations, Data Management and Reporting, and Environmental matters throughout the lifecycle of the project (from origination to operation). LANGUAGES SKILLS / COMPETENCES

- Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate with other teams and organisational skills.
