Job Description Based at Kate Valley Landfill, The Environmental Engineer role encompasses a range of critical tasks including the provision of advice to customers and stakeholders on compliant waste disposal options, the oversight and reporting of site environmental monitoring and performance, the administration of various environmental databases, and the provision of other advice and services within the company. It is expected the candidate will have significant experience in Resource Consent compliance and management. Reporting to stakeholders is an important part of this role. The role regularly engages with District and Regional Councils along with customers and stakeholders. This is a senior position within a company that values commitment, versatility, a good team player attitude, and a sound appreciation of best practice Health and Safety. Qualifications A relevant tertiary qualification (Science, engineering or similar), or equivalent experience. Significant knowledge of the Resource Management Act and its administration. Excellent MS Office skills, particularly with Word and Excel. Be reliable and trustworthy. Enjoy working as part of a productive team. Possess a current car driver’s licence.
