About the opportunity:

Due to successful project securement and anticipated workload, our client has identified the need to expand their team and therefore are recruiting permanently for an Environmental Engineer. You will join their regional team in Cardiff and will assist in the delivery of contaminated land site investigation and remediation projects under the direction of the Project Manager.

As an Environmental Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Daily environmental monitoring; Undertaking site investigation works including soil logging and field testing; Carrying out sampling and data collection; Carrying out technical reporting. About the requirements:

As an Environmental Engineer, you will be degree qualified in a relevant subject (geology, environmental science, civil engineering etc) and hold a minimum of 1 years’ post graduate experience gained whilst working for a geo-environmental consultancy or remediation contractor in the UK. You will have a good understanding of detailed remediation technologies; experience in environmental monitoring including soil, gas and water sampling; clarification of historical site investigation data; experience in site investigation (logging, drilling and trial pitting) and good site based experience.

Please note: As this opportunity is to join their regional team in Wales and initially work on a project in Cardiff, you must hold a full UK driving license and reside within commutable distance from Cardiff. About the rewards and benefits:

For this opportunity, my client is targeting professionals looking to earn anywhere between £25,000 - £28,000 per annum, however specific remuneration will depend on experience and suitability.
